Freedom of Information request

After the positive inspection we received by Highland Council we submitted a FOI request to learn as much as we legally could about the complaint. This is the result

Dear xxxx,

I refer you to your request for information under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

We have recently been subjected to a list of complaints from an unknown person with regards to our sanitation and hygiene standards, Covid 19 measures, immigration breaches and a number of other issues (estimated between 18/11/20 and 01/12/20) and have been reviewed as not being in breach of such sanitary conduct, still pending reviews on the other complaints. We would like any information that can be provided regarding this complaint.

Based on the details held in the Environmental Health database (Flare) the available information is listed below:

Complaint about Rxxxx Pxxxx received on 19/11/2020 – multiple concerns – including Coronavirus safety and other issues:

1.            Does the Home Office know there are possibly illegal foreign nationals at Rxxxx Pxxxx?

2.            Do all of the people that live at Rxxxx Pxxxxx pay Council Tax?

3.            How many people live at Rxxxx Pxxxxx and do they have permission for all of their buildings and caravans?

4.            Where does Rxxxx Pxxxxx’s human waste go to and what is their sanitary situation? Is hand cleaner/ hand washing facilities provided? Because of all the people there, are face masks meant to be worn?

5.            Allegedly some of the land being used is possibly not owned by Rxxxx Pxxxx. What is the status of ownership and land use?

6.            Are there illegal immigrants staying at Rxxxx Pxxxx and is there drug use?

7.            What plans does this community have for fire risk, emergencies/health & safety?

8.            Questionable practices – Coronavirus safety

 

Environmental Health have a role for the items in red above.  The premises were visited by officers on 8/12/20 at which time is was confirmed that the premises was not trading and had closed at end of August 2019.  Advice was given on the conditions found at the time visit and it was established that there was no Statutory Nuisance or breach of caravan site licence conditions.  No further action was required.
