This website is created to share my personal experience with Ed Gold, a freelance photo journalist, editor of the magazine Positive Futures, in order to inform others – particularly those in vulnerable circumstances – before engaging with him.
In my view, Mr Gold seeks out individuals and communities who are often living in poverty, off-grid, or experiencing mental health challenges, and presents himself as someone respectful, interested in documenting alternative lifestyles. My experience suggests that his conduct may at times be manipulative, coercive, abusive and retaliatory.

Journalistic Standards
I am documenting that Ed Gold has repeatedly contacted me with threats and has published misleading material online in an attempt to pressure me into removing factual information. This conduct is in clear breach of the Editors’ Code of Practice (IPSO) and runs contrary to the NUJ Code of Conduct. While the NUJ does not regulate all journalists, its Code sets ethical standards for its members and explicitly forbids harassment, the publication of false information, and the use of intimidation to suppress legitimate facts. His actions illustrated in this website demonstrate a failure to uphold the ethical responsibilities expected of any professional journalist, and I consider it important to make these breaches publicly visible.

I have chosen to publish this full account out of concern for the well-being of others who may be too afraid or isolated to speak publicly. Everything shared on this site is based on direct evidence and is intended solely to inform and protect others from potential harm.
Over time, I’ve gathered extensive evidence of my interactions with Mr Gold — including email correspondence, WhatsApp messages, threats, and public statements — which I share here to allow others to make up their own minds. I believe there is a pattern of behaviour that could put trusting people at risk, particularly those who are already marginalised. While I cannot speak for others, my impression is that some people may feel too afraid to share their experiences publicly.
This website exists to break that silence. If you have had a similar experience, I invite you to contact me in confidence. I will never share your story or identity without your clear and explicit consent.
The threats and harassment have been reported to the Police, and complaints about his conduct have been submitted to IPSO and referenced to the NUJ in relation to their Code of Conduct. I am also collating evidence to send to a solicitor to aid investigations by the Police. Every new fact or update is documented and added to the timeline.
This website is a record of my personal experience and opinions regarding Ed Gold, based on direct interactions and supported by documented evidence including written correspondence and public statements.
